As promised in an earlier post (on Baltimore Restaurants reducing their vegetarian options), this post is part of a new Baltidome blog category, called “Bmore Veg”, an effort to promote restaurants who do not exclude non-meat eating patrons.
It is Sunday evening and I am out at a bar watching football. Half-time comes and my stomach starts to growl. I prefer vegetables to meat, but again, I’m out at a bar watching football, so chances are good there’s no veg-friendly fare where I am, right? Well, not so since I am at Red Star Bar & Grill!
Hand Cut Yam Fries
Roasted Garlic Hummus
Grilled Veggie Panini
Asparagus & Goat Cheese Risotto
…and Salads + Specials
I opted for the vegetable panini, which suited me just fine!
Red Star Bar and Grill is a little off the beaten path. Just follow Thames Street (Fells Point main drag along the water) to the east and just before it ends, turn right on Wolf Street. Red Star is the third building on the right. As you can see, it has a very cool interior and, another bonus, free parking across the street -not an easy find in Fells Point!
