Green Funding Opportunities For Nonprofits And Neighborhoods

  • City of Baltimore’s Community Energy Savers Grant Program – $1 million in stimulus funds is available through the Baltimore Office of Sustainability to help nonprofit organizations become more energy efficient. Organizations can apply for funding to perform energy audits at their facilities, implement energy saving upgrades and retrofits, or conduct public education and outreach campaigns to help their target audience save on energy costs. First round application deadline is June 18, 2010.

  • Recycling More Grant Program – Community groups interested in getting more neighborhood residents recycling are encouraged to apply for small grants of up to $500 to implement ideas for neighborhood-driven projects. The grant program is an initiative of the Baltimore Community Foundation and the Initiative for a Cleaner Greener Baltimore. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 30, 2010.
