10-10-10, Day of action in Baltimore
Be part of the biggest day of action in the planet’s history, as people in cities and towns from over 170 countries join together to DO SOMETHING about global warming!
Join the Baltimore Chapter of 350.org at Druid Hill Park on Sunday, October 10th from 10-1 p.m. for a chance to roll up your sleeves, plant a few trees and take part in the 350.org Global Work Party.
A 10-mile bike ride will be going on concurrently to celebrate the bicycle as a low-carbon mode of transportation. The ride will follow the Jones Falls Tail north into surrounding neighborhoods and end at Parkie Pavilion in Druid Hill Park. All are welcome to join; helmets are required. For more information contact Baltimore Bicycle Works.
At 1 p.m., there will be a celebration at the Parkie Pavilion featuring delicious food, the musical stylings of Midway Fair, a FREE tree giveaway and compost tea for the taking. Be a part of the conversation as local leaders rally for change here in Baltimore City. Capture it all at 2 p.m. as we take a commemorative photo to be posted on the 350.org photo gallery
Directions: Take 83 to Exit 7, Druid Park Lake Drive. Make a right onto Swann Drive, another right onto Red Road/Hanlon Drive, and Parkie Pavilion will be on your left.
