Learn About Agroforestry At The Best Bar In America

Where can one learn about planting fruit and trees in their urban garden while sipping local suds at the “Best Bar in America” (rated by Esquire Magazine)?  – Only in Baltimore, of course!  Celebrate Baltimore Beer Week by enjoying a local beer and learning about growing your own food.

Agroforestry Discussion

October 11, 2010 — 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Location: Brewer’s Art, 1106 N. Charles Street, 21201

Join Katrina Krouse of the U.S. Forest Service and Anne Draddy of TreeBaltimore (named “Best Do-Gooder” by the Baltimore City Paper this year!) for a discussion of agroforestry – planting vegetables with fruit and nut trees in Baltimore City as an integrated approach to increasing our urban food sources. The GROW workshop series is presented in partnership by Baltimore Green Works, the Parks & People Foundation and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks.

I wish The Brewers Art had at least one vegan entre on their menu, its hardly green to serve meat, and not even trying to cater to people who make the more ecologically friendly dietary choices is pretty insulting.
