Baltimore 3rd Best City To Find A Job -What About Green Jobs?

CareerBuilder Names Baltimore A Top City For Jobs -What About Green jobs?

Green_Job

WBAL-TV reported that CareerBuilder.com recently named Baltimore the 3rd best city in the nation to find a job.  Here are the top five rankings:

  1. Kansas City
  2. Washington D.C.
  3. Baltimore
  4. Dallas/ Fort Worth
  5. Philadelphia

That’s great news for Baltimorians in general, but what about earth-loving job seekers?  A search of the web found that the best site for searching green job opportunities in the Baltimore area is SustainLine.com.  A quick search of the site revealed a handful of green jobs (albeit specialized) in Baltimore and more between Baltimore and Washington DC.  If a job seeker in Baltimore is willing to make a daily commute (by MARC train, of course) to D.C., the green job opportunities are numerous.

Just a few weeks ago Elevation Burger opened at Harbor East in Baltimore and business appears good.  The eatery sells sells organic, grass fed, free range beef burgers, veggie burgers, grilled cheese, fries cooked in olive oil and more.  The first Elevation Burger set up shop in Arlington Virginia and now has three locations in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. metro area.  The burger chain is planning more restaurants in the Philadelphia area and, according to their website, is “positioned to the leader in the organic burger market”.
